History of Cap-Haitian
Cap-Haitian has a very rich history, especially when it comes to the fight for Haiti's Independence.
We will start the day by visiting Bwa-Kayiman which is where a special ceremony took place that set off the Haitian Revolution.
For lunch, we will head to one of Cap-Haitians' oldest hotels which is named after the King for a buffet meal.
After that, we embark on a city tour and explore everything that the beautiful city has to offer and the history behind some monuments and buildings.
In the evening we will go out into town and dine at another local restaurant.
Kingdom of Haiti
After breakfast, we will hit the road and first get our Covid-19 test done and then head to the Citadelle Laferrière, one of the largest fortresses in the Americas. Designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, the Citadelle is unlike any forts you’ve ever seen.
As it is situated on top of a mountain, we will be horseback riding our way through this mountaintop wonder. When we return from the Citadelle we will then head to Palais Sans Soucis where a special lunch awaits us.
After the visit to the Palace, we will make our way to our private island for our glamping experience but first by making a stop at a rum distillery for a tasting.
PS: If you chose double occupancy, you will share a bed under the tent with your roommate for the two nights. If you booked the single occupancy you will have your own tent.
As you wake up with the sound of birds and waves, with the beach right outside your tent we wish you a Welcome to Haiti once again.
Before breakfast, we will have a yoga session by the beach with the option for a Reiki Session (the Reiki session is at an extra cost and we only have 3 spots).
In the afternoon we will go on a sailing boat tour of Île Caramel.
In the evening back at our island, we will have a drum and dance show after sunset and dinner.
Today is our last day on the island :(. We have the morning and to enjoy the water and the sun.
We will spend the afternoon at Paradise Bay where we will enjoy our last lunch on the islands before transferring back to the hotel.
Back at the hotel, you will have time to enjoy some of the hotel's perks such as a souvenir shop, massages, etc...
