Join us for 8 days and 7 nights on the Spice Island, soaking up the sun and listening to the sounds of the Indian Ocean washing up against the shore. The name Zanzibar is an Arabic word that is translated as ‘the coast of black people’. Zanzibar, also known as the “Spice Island” has a mixture of Arabian and African culture which results in Afro-Arabs. This trip has been carefully curated in order to showcase what Zanzibar has to offer, from its culture to its beautiful beaches, mingling with the locals, and having the best time. Zanzibar… The name alone evokes images of tropical paradise. Calling up visions of picturesque islands with soft-sand, white beaches and shimmering azure waters. Yet, the Zanzibar Archipelago has so much more to offer than romantic coastlines and blissful sunsets. These islands offer a kaleidoscope of sights, smells, tastes and experiences that will feed your soul, rejuvenate your body and reawaken your creativity. Zanzibar is without a doubt a dream beach destination. An ideal place to get away from it all. But it also has a fascinating history and rich cultural expressions, as well as being a top adventure and eco-tourism destination. It is the home of idyllic beaches, balmy weather & warm tropical waters. This archipelago is renowned for clear warm waters, coral reefs and rich marine diversity making it a perfect under-water destination for snorkeling and diving.

Arrive at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport where you will be met by a Stella Travel driver. You will be taken to the hotel in order to relax and settle in. Please arrive no later than 2-2:30 PM (local time) in order to partake in welcoming activities. In the evening we will head out for some traditional Zanzibar food on a rooftop overlooking Stone Town.
After breakfast, we will kick off our trip with a Safari Blue Tour on a Private Yacht. It is the most talked-about activity in Zanzibar. We will spend the day sailing, eating, sunbathing, exploring, feasting, observing, playing, and more. We will have a chance to spot dolphins, snorkel, and have a blast. After dinner (with a break at the hotel) prepare yourself to go out and explore the nightlife of Stone Town.
After breakfast, we will head for a walking tour of Stone Town. It is one of the oldest Swahili towns in East Africa. Stone Town was established by Arab slave and spice traders in the early 19th century
Since Zanzibar is known as Spice Island, today we are also going on a Spice Plantation Walk in order to learn and taste the different spices they grow here. Nowadays, spices aren't the main source of income, but they remain a big part of what makes Zanzibar the country that it is. After our walk, we will enjoy a traditional Swahili dish.
In the evening we are headed to Forodhani Gardens. It is a park that transforms into an open-air food market. It is the perfect time to mingle with the locals, make some new friends, and try some new food.
As our last day in Stone Town, we are having a Zanzibar Beauty Experience. You will blend fresh spices into an aromatic scrub that will refresh, rejuvenate, and relax you. You will also be introduced to the art of henna and adorned with a motif of your choice. Then let yourself be pampered with a one-hour beauty treatment and the soothing sounds of discreet Zanzibari Taarab music. Today will also be the day you get to purchase your last-minute souvenirs and trinkets before moving on to a different part of Zanzibar. In the late afternoon, we will head towards Michamvi where we will have the hotel to ourselves for 2 nights. That evening is about settling, relaxing, and enjoying the surroundings.
PS: hotels in this area are boutique hotels, meaning you will have to share your bed with whomever you are rooming with (unless you have the single occupancy) for only 2 nights.
Today we are headed for lunch at the famous Rock Restaurant. This restaurant has been referred to as the floating restaurant. When the tide is high you can ride a boat to t and when the tide is low you can walk across the rocks to it. In the evening we will have a private themed party at our villa, with a private DJ; it will be a chance to let loose, have fun and enjoy our time together.
After breakfast, we will drive up north of Zanzibar to Nungwi for the rest of our trip. Nungwi is a village known for its beautiful beaches. Take the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the beautiful hotel we will be staying at, the best, etc... In the evening we will head out for some nighttime fun in Nungwi.
Today is a completely free day to sleep in, enjoy Nungwi, or do any optional excursions we did not do. In the evening we will gather up for a farewell dinner as our last meal before heading back home.
